IS300 2002 - what appears to be electrical problems have just started
in last couple of weeks. I have gotten in car and cranked it up and
noticed that the clock and trip sets have reset themselves (trips sets
zeroed out; clock on incorrect time) as if they have lost power.
Battery seems fully powered, alternator belt OK.

Then I have also started sporadically, if I try to engage mutiple
electronic requests at once (say roll up or down window followed by
trying to unlock doors) that something fails - in this case, the doors
will not unlock and I have to do it manually. I then turn off the car
and try to turn it right back on. Doesn’t make a noise. Wait say 30
seconds and turn it on again and everything is fine.

Then last, driving down the highway at speed, I have braked or started
to change lanes and all the emergency dashboard lights come on (like
brake light, skid light, etc.) Again, looking at battery guage,
battery seems charged. Car makes a strange silence noise. I know,
that doesn’t make sense but it feels like the car dies under me and
then wham, everything is fine almost immediately.

I’m taking it to a dealer for a looks see but would really like to
have some clue before getting there. Any help greatly appreciated.

It sounds like there is a loose connection somewhere. Unless the dealer has

seen the problem before, fixing it will probably take good ol fashioned
diagnosis.
