Folks,

I bought a NOS Herald clutch on eBay. Unfortunately, it has come with
the wrong cover plate in the box. No problem, as the seller has
refunded me, but I was wondering if anyone could identify it.

It seems to be an AP HE 1074. Looks like 7" diameter, and the friction
surface is a long way ( 1/2") below the mounting flanges, so it looks
as if it's for something with the clutch well recessed into the
flywheel.

Any bright ideas?

Give the Borg & Beck helpline a call:

<<QUOTE>>: "Calls to the AP Borg & Beck clutch fitting helpline, on 0800
389 4104, are free and are open from Monday to Friday as well as on Saturday
morning."

Thanks. I rang them. Unfortunately, Delphi don't make Borg and Beck
any more and the friendly chap on the helpline doesn't have part
number records. He put me onto the people who do make Borg and Beck
stuff ... but they have no records of the part numbers AP used.

D'oh.

Cross-referencing my QH book, the HE1074 translates to Q90041, fits

Renault 5, 10 and 12 between 1970 & 1975.
Oh and the Dacia...

Rather belatedly ... many thanks, all!
